Hailey was such a cutie! She really was the most cautious baby though. For every smile she’d flash at me I had 10 pictures of her raising her eyebrow at me like she was saying…”Seriously? Why is this woman shoving this huge black box in my face?” After a bit she warmed up and we had so much fun. She ran and I ran too trying to stay in front on her!

The {B} Boys!
September 21st, 2009Holy cow, how fun was this shoot? These boys made me laugh so hard with all their suggestions. They kept yelling to me, “Take a picture of me jumping out of this tree!” “Take one now with me jumping over this fence!” and my favorite, “Hurry! Take one while I pretend I’m a lion in the underbrush!” Their high energy gave me so much to work with and we got a ton of pictures!
Salt Lake Temple
September 1st, 2009There is something about this building. Growing up I always thought it was a castle and I enjoyed going there with my family. Other than that I didn’t give it much thought. We were there over the summer and I met a man.
He came up to me and asked if he could pay me to take a picture of him in front of the temple. Of course I said no and I’d be happy to do it for free and we got talking. He was a recent convert to the LDS church. He’d given up everything he had so he could move to Utah. After hearing his story and struggles I was really reminded how grateful I should be that in any direction from my home I couldn’t go more than 100 miles without hitting a temple. Ever since I met him the Salt Lake temple doesn’t just register in my mind as just a beautiful building. It reminds me that I’m lucky to have something so dear to our members so very near to me.
